Our portrait photography service went to Cambridge University Press author’s, Pauline Cullen’s offices, to shot the new headshots for Pauline’s new brand, website and social media presence.
We first discussed with Pauline how she would like to be portrayed in the photographs. This involved understanding her vision and preferences, such as the mood, style, and setting she envisioned for the portraits. Pauline expressed a desire for a natural and candid look, capturing her personality and essence authentically.
Next, we outlined our approach to achieve this. We explained the importance of building a rapport with her to ensure she felt comfortable and relaxed during the portrait photography shoot. This would help in capturing genuine expressions and moments. We also discussed the technical aspects, such as the choice of lighting, background, and equipment, to align with the desired look and feel.
We then moved on to the logistics, including the location and timing of the shoot. Pauline preferred an indoor setting with natural light, so we suggested a few potential locations around her offices that would complement this vision. We also agreed on a schedule that would allow us to take advantage of the best lighting conditions.
Our minimal but high-end studio setup transformed her offices into a professional studio in no time at all.
Finally, we addressed any specific requirements Pauline had, such as wardrobe choices, props, or any particular poses she wanted to include. We assured her that we would be flexible and open to her ideas throughout the process, ensuring that the final photographs would meet her expectations and align to the new brand message.
The portraits have now been added to Pauline’s website and social media channels, helping her existing, and potential, students to engage with Cullen Education on a more personal level.
Additional photography was taken to be used on all future marketing materials, publications and press releases for the brand.
“I felt very confident and Sam was excellent at putting me at my ease.”
